How Mentored Path works:
Every morning begins with a 15-minute Zoom welcome — a live check-in with an Alta staff member to set the day’s focus. Students then join a supervised Live Virtual Classroom where they work through their coursework while staff monitors progress and remains available for questions. Throughout the school day, Drop-In Teacher Help gives students live 1:1 access to available Alta staff for subject-specific questions — no scheduling required.
Alta reviews assignments, grades progress, and checks submitted work for plagiarism and improper use of AI — the same integrity discipline applied across every Alta plan. The daily live structure plus the weekly 1:1 progress meetings create the most consistent human contact of any Alta plan. For students who need more than weekly check-ins — who benefit from someone actually showing up every day — Mentored Path is designed to deliver that.
Mentored Path is ideal for students transitioning from traditional school, students who struggled in less-structured online programs, students working with treatment programs or therapeutic support, and families who want a classroom-equivalent experience without the classroom.
Accreditation: Alta Independent is accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) through Cognia. Credits earned at Alta are issued on official Alta transcripts and are recognized by other accredited schools, colleges, and universities.
